Hi, Friends.
Hi, I’m David Port, founder of Port Design Company. I’ve spent more than a decade in sports branding, bringing an athlete’s perspective to every project. My experience as a Division I baseball player at Appalachian State shaped how I approach branding, with the same focus, discipline, and commitment that sports demand.
I studied Graphic Arts and Imaging Technology at Appalachian State, then earned a Master’s in Educational Media with a focus on Media Production. Since then, I’ve worked with some of the biggest names in college athletics including LSU, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Michigan, and Georgia Tech. Today, I serve as Creative Director at Learfield, where I lead branding initiatives across college athletics.
My passion for branding started when I designed my college team’s jersey during my senior year. That experience showed me how design can shape pride, identity, and connection. Now, my focus is on logo design, brand strategy, and helping sports organizations create brands that last.
At PDC, I specialize in brand identity, brand strategy, and brand management. I help organizations build brands that are clear, consistent, and connected to their ideal audience. From creating a new identity to refining strategy to managing your brand long term, my work ensures you stand out where it matters most.
